Dr. Jerlean Daniel is Executive Director of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the nation's largest organization of early care and education professionals committed to enhancing the quality of programs for children from birth through age eight. NAEYC has approximately 100,000 members, and a national network of 350 regional, state and local affiliates.
Gail Connelly is Executive Director of the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) in Alexandria, Virginia, serving 28,000 K-8 principals and 35 million students in the United States of America and other affiliates worldwide. Gail has also served as a strategic planning, management, and fundraising consultant for several national and state education organizations, including the National PTA.
Daniel Domenech is executive director of the American Association of School Administrators. A native of Cuba who moved to the U.S. at the age of nine, Domenech has more than 36 years of experience in public education. Prior to joining AASA, Domenech served as senior vice president of the Urban Advisory Resource for McGraw-Hill Education and served for six years as superintendent of the Fairfax County, Virginia.
Dr. Paul G. Young serves as the President and CEO of the National AfterSchool Association, the nation's professional association for afterschool providers. Young has worked as a teacher and administrator in schools in Ohio for more than 35 years. Originally a high school band director, Young also taught 4th and 5th grades and served as an elementary school principal for nearly 20 years before retiring from work in the public schools.
JoAnne Bartoletti is the Executive Director of the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP). NASSP is the preeminent organization and the national voice for middle level and high school principals, assistant principals, and aspiring school leaders. Bartoletti has served as executive director of NJPSA since 1991, during which time she revolutionized the product, service, and professional development offerings for the organization’s 7,400 member administrators and raised the profile of NJ administrators in public policy circles.
Yasmina Vinci is the Executive Director of the National Head Start Association that represents more than one million children, 200,000 staff and 2,600 Head Start programs in the United States. She was a center director, policy maker in state government, funder and received her masters at Harvard with a focus on leading large scale change.
Dr. Eric Karolak is the Executive Director of Early Childhood Education Consortium(ECEC), a non-profit alliance of America’s leading national, regional, and indepen- dent providers of high-quality child care and early learning and development programs for young children. ECEC is the only national organization exclusively representing the voice of child care providers on Capitol Hill and in the states.
Brian Crowe is Executive Director of the National Association of Child Care Professionals serving center directors, owners and administrators nationwide. NACCP provides valuable resources for professionals in the ECE field. Brian brings to this association over 19 years experience in nonprofit management and facilitation, serving international and domestic nonprofit service organizations as well as professional associations. His education is gained through Ashford University in Clinton, Iowa with studies in Organizational Management with an emphasis in Global Management.
John D. Musso is Executive Director of the Association of School Business Officials International. Musso was formerly the Chief Financial Officer for the District of Columbia Public Schools, In his current position with D.C. Public Schools. Mr. Musso has more than 30 years of experience in education, having previously served as an elementary school teacher, principal, and deputy superintendent.
Jodi Grant is Executive Director of the Afterschool Alliance, a non-profit public awareness and advocacy organization working to ensure that all children and youth have access to quality, affordable afterschool programs. The Afterschool Alliance serves as a national voice for afterschool and provides resources and materials to more than 20,000 afterschool programs.
Sally Schoessler RN, BSN, MSEd NASN is the Executive Director of the National Association of School Nurses in Silver Spring, Maryland. Previously Sally was the Executive Director of the New York Statewide School Health Services Center since 2005 where she has provided technical support and professional development to school health professionals.
Linda Geigle is the Executive Director of the National Association for Family Child Care. Previously, she was the Executive Director of Children First, Inc. in Salt Lake City, Utah as well as a family child care provider. Linda is also a past President, Treasurer, and Secretary of the National Association for Family Child Care. She also held the positions of President and Secretary of the Professional Family Child Care Association of Utah.
Rae Pica has been a children's physical activity specialist since 1980. A former adjunct instructor with the University of New Hampshire, she is the author of 18 books, including the text Experiences in Movement, the award-winning Great Games for Young Children and Jump into Literacy. Rae has shared her expertise with such groups as the Sesame Street Research Department, the Head Start Bureau, Centers for Disease Control, the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, Nickelodeon's Blue's Clues, Gymboree, and state health departments throughout the country.
Errol St. Clair Smith An 18-year veteran of the media industry, Errol has authored four books, written for the Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Times, the Washington Times, spent three years as a popular radio talk show host at KIEV in Los Angeles and seven years as a business reporter for KTLA television. Errol co-hosted the Emmy Award-winning program, Life and Times, on PBS and has five Emmy nominations and one Emmy Award to his credit. Errol covers the business side of education along with, innovators, thought leaders and change agents on the BAM Radio Network.
